Open-Top Plastic Drums with Lid & Locking Ring
An open-top drum — also called an open-head or full-open drum — has a lid that comes off completely, so thick or solid contents can be scooped, poured or shovelled in and out. That makes it the standard choice for powders, granules, pastes, greases and solids, and for any contents that need the drum cleaned between uses.
Closed-head (tight-head) drums with small bung openings suit thin liquids that are pumped; open-top drums suit everything else. Our open-top drums are blow-moulded from HDPE with a black lid and locking ring.

What is the difference between open-top and closed-head drums?
Open-top drums have a fully removable lid held by a ring, for solids, powders and thick products. Closed-head drums have a fixed top with small bung openings, for pumpable liquids.
How does the lid seal?
The lid sits on the drum rim and a locking ring clamps around it to hold it closed.
Can I buy spare lids and rings?
Yes, replacement lids and locking rings are available with your drum order or separately.
